Wanderoft Member Terms
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Every town has places that make it feel like home: the corner bakery, the shop that has been there for thirty years, the tour guide who knows every ghost by name. We started Wanderoft to send locals and visitors to those places, and to thank people for choosing them. These terms are the deal between you and Wanderoft. We wrote them to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@wanderoft.com and a real person will answer.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Wanderoft LLC ("Wanderoft," "we," "us") is a Georgia limited liability company based in Savannah, Georgia. These terms cover the Wanderoft app (on the web at app.wanderoft.com and in the Apple and Google app stores), wanderoft.com, and the Wanderoft Rewards program. Our Privacy Policy (legal.wanderoft.com/privacy) is part of these terms. When you create an account, you agree to both.
2. Who can join
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person. Use your real name and an email address you check.
- Anyone can join and use perks. To earn cash back on card purchases, you connect a card from a US bank. Visitors from other countries are welcome to join for perks.
- Your account is yours alone. Keep your sign-in safe, and tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
3. How Wanderoft works
Wanderoft partners are local businesses that work with Wanderoft to welcome more guests. When you visit a partner and pay with a card you have connected to Wanderoft, Wanderoft rewards you, from Wanderoft's own rewards program. There is nothing to show at the register and no code to enter. You just pay the way you always do.
Partners pay Wanderoft for marketing. Wanderoft runs its rewards program separately, at its own cost, and decides what members earn. Your rewards come from Wanderoft, not from the business you visited.
4. Connecting a card
- Plaid. You connect a card through Plaid, a company that securely links apps to banks. You sign in to your bank on Plaid's own screen and choose which credit cards and checking accounts to share. We never see your bank password or your full card number. By connecting a card, you agree that Wanderoft uses Plaid to collect information from your bank, and that Plaid will treat your information under the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- How many. Up to 5 cards from up to 3 banks. One bank sign-in covers every card you choose at that bank.
- What we use. We look at your card purchases only to find visits to Wanderoft partners. Every other purchase is checked once and never stored. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
- What partners see. A partner only ever sees combined totals for its own business, like how many Wanderoft members visited and what they spent there, and only once enough members are behind a number that no one can be picked out. Never your name, your email or your card.
- Visiting? When you connect, we ask whether you are visiting or live here. If you are visiting, tell us the day you head home. We disconnect your card a few days after that, once your last visits have come through. You can change the date in the app.
- Quiet cards rest. If a card has no visit to a Wanderoft partner for 30 days, we disconnect it and let you know. Reconnect it any time.
- Banks sometimes ask you to sign in again. If yours does, we will tell you. Until you do, visits with that card cannot earn.
- Removing a card. Remove a card in the app whenever you like. It stops earning right away. Visits it already made still count.
5. Wanderoft Rewards
- What rewards are. Rewards are Wanderoft's own promotional program, and Wanderoft pays for them. A reward you have earned but that we have not yet sent has no cash value. It is not a bank account, a deposit, a balance you can spend, or money we hold for you. You cannot transfer it, sell it, or ask for it early.
- What earns. A purchase at a Wanderoft partner, made with a connected card, that meets the reward Wanderoft shows on that partner's page in the app. Each page shows Wanderoft's full cash back rate there, the rate you earn at your level, and any conditions (a minimum spend, a cap, the days and hours it runs, or once a day).
- What your reward is based on. The total charged to your card for that purchase, as your bank reports it, including tax and tip.
- Booking ahead. Where a partner's page says so, booking directly with that partner (on its own website or booking system) also earns. Bookings made through other sites, like travel resellers, never earn.
- What does not earn. Purchases at a business you own. Purchases made before you connected the card (more than a day before). Purchases that are refunded or reversed. Visits to partners that offer a perk but no cash back.
- How we spot a visit. We match your purchase to the partner using what your bank reports. Most visits match on their own. A few we check by hand, which can take a little longer.
- Missed a visit? Write to us within 30 days of the visit and we will look into it.
- Refunds. If a purchase is refunded before its reward is sent, the reward comes off. If the reward was already sent, we take it off your next one.
6. Levels
Wanderoft sets a full cash back rate at each partner. How much of it you earn depends on your level, and every partner's page shows your real rate before you visit.
| Level | How you get there | You earn |
|---|---|---|
| Wanderer | Join and connect a card | 75% of the full rate |
| Explorer | 2 visits, or a friend you invited connects a card | 80% of the full rate |
| Local | 5 visits | The full rate |
- A visit is a matched purchase of $10 or more (the total charged to your card), counted once per business per day.
- A visit earns at the level you had before that visit. Your next visit earns at your new level.
- If a visit is refunded, it stops counting toward your level.
- Members who bought a paid Wanderoft membership on wanderoft.com, before paid memberships ended, start as Locals and stay Locals.
- Levels are part of Wanderoft's rewards program. Wanderoft sets the rates and can change them as section 11 explains.
7. Inviting friends
You have an invite code in the app. A friend can enter it within 7 days of joining, before their first visit. When they connect a card, you become an Explorer (if you are not one already). It counts once per friend. It cannot be your own code or a second account of yours, and it does not pay a cash bonus.
8. When rewards are ready, and how we send them
- When. Rewards for every visit in a week (Monday to Sunday) are ready on the second Friday after that week. Some partners have a longer wait, for example tours and other experiences booked ahead, and the partner's page and your Rewards screen show the date for each visit.
- Why the wait. Purchases are sometimes refunded or turn out not to be genuine. The wait gives those time to show up, so we can send rewards on a fixed schedule everyone can plan around.
- The $5 line. No payment is owed until you have at least $5 ready. Once you do, we send it on Friday morning, automatically.
- How you receive it. We send rewards through our payout partner, Tremendous, to your payout email. You choose how to receive it: bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, a prepaid Visa, or a gift card. Wanderoft pays the delivery cost. Tremendous's own terms apply to the payout and to how long a reward link stays open, and we will remind you if a reward goes unclaimed.
- Last call for small amounts. If you have less than $5 ready and no visits for 30 days, we send what is left (from $1) to your payout email, with the same choices. Nothing you earned is forgotten.
- Keep your payout email current. If a payout cannot be delivered, we will let you know and send it again once you update it.
9. Taxes
Whether rewards count as taxable income depends on your situation, and you are responsible for your own taxes. If the law requires us to collect tax information from you or report payments to you, we will ask for it before we send more, and we may pause payouts until we have it.
10. Perks
Some partners add a perk, like a free tasting or a welcome treat. Show your pass in the app to use it. Perks are the partner's own gift. They are available while the app shows them, under the terms on the partner's page, and they cannot be exchanged for cash. Some perks carried over from the original Wanderoft membership show an end date in the app.
11. When rewards or partners change
Wanderoft's rate at a partner can change, and partners can pause or leave Wanderoft. When that happens, the app shows it at least 14 days before it takes effect, and visits before that date earn at the rate you saw. If we remove a partner sooner because of a problem on its side, it disappears from the app and visits from then on do not earn. Visits made while it was showing in the app still earn.
12. Play fair
Wanderoft only works if rewards go to real visits. Please do not:
- make fake, split or staged purchases, or purchases you plan to refund
- open more than one account, or use someone else's card or account
- connect the same card to more than one account
- invite yourself, or trade invite codes for anything of value
- use bots, scripts or anything that interferes with the app or tries to get around its rules
If we see any of this, we may hold the rewards involved while we look into it, remove rewards that were not genuinely earned, and close the account. We will tell you what we found and why, and you can write back to us about it. We do not hold a reward because of anything a partner business did or did not pay.
13. Leaving Wanderoft
- Delete your account any time in the app (Account, then Delete account), or by writing to hello@wanderoft.com. We disconnect every card and remove your personal details as our Privacy Policy explains.
- What you earned is still yours. Anything you earned, from $1, is sent to your payout email on its usual Friday. We keep only your payout email until it is sent, then erase it.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we close an account for any other reason, we send every reward that is ready first.
14. Using the app
- We give you a personal, revocable right to use the app for yourself, under these terms.
- Please do not copy, scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or overload the app, or use it to break the law.
- The Wanderoft name, the yellow hare and our designs are ours. Partner names and logos belong to the partners.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely. Thank you in advance.
Messages from us
- Account emails. We email you about your account: rewards on their way, a card that has gone quiet, a bank that needs you to sign in again. These come with having an account.
- Push notifications. In the iPhone and Android apps, we may ask to send notifications, like when a visit earns cash back or you reach a new level. They are off unless you say yes, and you can turn them off any time in the app or in your phone's settings. Turning them off never changes what you earn.
- Newsletter. Only if you tick the box to get it. Unsubscribe any time.
15. Partners and other companies
- Partners sell to you, not Wanderoft. Each partner is responsible for its goods, services, prices, safety and how it treats you. A problem with a purchase is between you, the business and your card issuer. We are always happy to hear about it, and we take it into account when we decide who stays on Wanderoft.
- Other companies. Plaid, Tremendous, Apple, Google and Google Maps are separate companies with their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, though we choose them with care.
16. What we promise, and what we do not
We work hard to keep Wanderoft accurate and running, and we will always pay rewards you have earned under these terms. Beyond that, the app is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, that every purchase will be matched, or that any partner will be open, available or as described. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
17. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, Wanderoft is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total responsibility for any claim about Wanderoft is limited to the greater of $100 or the rewards you earned in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits what we owe you for rewards you earned, or any responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.
18. If something goes wrong between us
- Talk to us first. Write to hello@wanderoft.com with your name, your account email and what happened. We will try to put it right within 60 days. Most things can be fixed with one conversation.
- If we cannot agree. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court, or otherwise in the state or federal courts located in Chatham County, Georgia, and we both agree those courts can hear it.
- Law. Georgia law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law rules.
19. Changes to these terms or the program
We may update these terms, Wanderoft Rewards or the app. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the change will not reduce rewards for visits made before that date. If you keep using Wanderoft after the date, the new terms apply. If we ever end the program, we will tell you first and send every reward that is ready.
20. The fine print
- These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Wanderoft about the app.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your account. We may transfer these terms if Wanderoft is sold or merged, and they keep protecting you.
- Events outside our control (outages at our partners or vendors, storms, bank delays) can delay what we do. We will catch up as soon as we can.
